Buku kitab Iqro is a textbook used by Muslim communities in several countries to learn how to read Arabic letters and pronounce the language. Iqro was compiled by As'ad Humam along with the "Team Tadarus AMM." Published in the early 1990s, Iqro serves as an initial stepping stone to reading the Qur'an in its original language and acquiring skills in reading the Qur'an. It is commonly studied by preschool children to early elementary school students and is often used in specialized Quran reading schools, Islamic boarding schools, small mosques, and homeschooling settings for religious education.

The Iqro method does not require various tools, as emphasized in reading the Quran fluently. Reading is done directly without spelling out the letters. Students are introduced to the Arabic alphabet names through active learning (CBSA) in a more individualized manner.

Now, there is the Iqro Digital application starting from iqro 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and iqro 6 created in a simple way to increase interest in learning and assist users who want to learn recitation and Quranic reading as this application can be used on smartphones and tablets.

In this Iqra Learning application, there are 6 levels of learning stages from Iqro' 1 through Iqro' 6:

• Iqro' 1: Learning the Arabic alphabet from Alif to Ya with Fathah ( 'a' ) sounds.
• Iqro' 2: Learning connected letters and long readings (mad asli/thobi'i).
• Iqro' 3: Learning Kasroh ( 'i' ), Dhommah ( 'u' ), long readings, and their variations.
• Iqro' 4: Learning Tanwin readings: Fathatain ( 'an' ), Kasrotain ( 'in' ), and Dhommatain ( 'un' ), as well as dead (sukun) readings, nun mati, qolqolah, and their variations.
• Iqro' 5: Learning waqof readings, shadda, permissible elongation (mad jaiz munfasil), obligatory continuous prolongation (mad wajib muttasil), common word elongation with a fixed typeface pattern (mad lazim kilmi mutsaqqol), izhar, idgham, the rule of silent mim, and more.
• Iqro' 6: Learning iqlab, ikhfa, pause marks, various letters to pause with recognition of how to pronounce several initial letters of Quranic verses, etc.

The application is available offline, allowing it to be used without an internet connection.
